'Glasscape' fish bowl08. Jun2012
Here is one idea that makes you say: how simple! it was so obvious...
Yes it is but you need to have your mind trained to see other faces of an object than the one everyone see or is used to see it.
New York-based designers Johan Liden and Rinat Aruh from Aruliden design studio have this ability and the result is the simple and amazing Fishscape Fish Bowl. The fish bowl with its interior landscape was made entirely from hand-blown glass in collaboration with Gaia&Gino, which is a turkish company.
'Glasscape' is a winner of the Red Dot Design Award, each bowl is a unique piece, individually hand blown.
The unique interior of the fish tank provides a natural environment for your gold fish. No more swimming in an empty alienating space, if I may say so, or as Aruliden say: "Humans shouldn't have all the fun". The fish now probably will have the feeling of swimming in an environment due to the interior glass relief which evokes the sea bottom irregularities. ---
Last but not least, the fish bowl is also a beautiful decorative object in your home or your office desk.---
Aruliden is a brand strategy and product design consultancy formed by Rinat Aruh and Johan Liden in 2006 to bridge the gap between design and marketing.
