Designed by Jakob Schenk

A universal object that can play an important role when creating a table, a bench, a stool, a shelf, etc. from scratch or from old stuff is Jakob Schenk's creation 'Tick' clip. The wire frame leg-like object makes just about everything as a usable furniture and therefore it does not matter whether or not to occur at the end of a table, shelf or a chair. Find a proper plate, either buy one or consider to one the one from your old table and the clip makes the table alive within seconds. No montage required, no instructions. You are almost invited to unleash your creativity in matters of furniture design.

'Tick' clip was featured at DMY International Design Festival from Berlin in June 2011.

Here is how the designer describes its project:

"Tick is a universal leg system which can be applied to a variety of board materials so that you can create your individual and unique table by using any board of any size and material. The leg only consists of a bent piece of steel, which works in a similar way to a big paper clip. Boards, or anything what is somehow flat, can be clamped between the leg structure without the need of screws and tools and thus turned into a table.

Tick can ba attached to various kinds of board materials. The thickness of the board can be between 15 and 30 mm. The tick can be used inside and outside as it is ether powdercoated, chromed or made of stainless steel. The first version being available will be the tick 35/35 (width/height). It can be used for both creating small tables and benches. tick can ba attached to various kinds of board materials. The thickness of the board can be between 15 and 30 mm.
