Edge house23. Jul2011
The architects used the slopes of the hill to create a unique S-shape of the house made of concrete. By doing this they have obtained an incredible continuity of the space, communicating from ground up without barriers.
They left the space physically unpartitioned but actually the different heights of the floors create the spaces to host the functions of the house. The entire house space is like a scene without a place clearly determined. The continuous concrete slab allows the front and the back of the house to be free of walls therefore allowing to have light from two opposites sides in the same space. Filter the light with drapes and the interior become such a cozy place to live.
The house is located on the hill overlooking the Osaka bay and the Port of Kobe.
