QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Designers may be the true intellectuals of the future."

House in Kitakami15. Sep2011

The project addresses the construction of a house that would meet the following conditions: a common area with double height living room, dining room and kitchen connected to the terrace overlooking the garden and three separate rooms tailored to the needs of the four inhabitants of the home.

This was solved grouping night and private spaces around a semicircle wall, doubled inside with the double height common area which hosts the stairs and the kitchen. The living room is practically this whole space who sums up all the daily activities.

The semicircle wall creates a courtyard in the exterior, which transforms into a private area using a curtain.
