No Country for Old Men - part three17. May2012
Latest creation of Lanzavecchia+Wai is an interesting series of three objects and furniture designed with care for elderly people. Let's face it, sooner or later we will be in the situation to use aids like these so I start to appreciate these from right about now. 'No Country for Old Men' line is designed to help aged people to keep their ordinary lives unchanged or as little as possible when the age start to show its signs.
The latest product from 'No Country for Old Men' series is 'MonoLight', "a lamp that illuminates & magnifies", a lamp that eases reading and other domestic manual activities.

"MonoLight is a handsome table lamp with a magnifying screen and LED components housed in a CNC-machined aluminium enclosure, anchored to a dodecagon-profiled marble base, to enable various degrees of viewing angles."---
"The lamp comes in both portrait and landscape models to fit the reader’s viewing preference, and to change the angle, a simple gesture of tilting the aluminium frame whilst the heft of the marble piece keeps it in the desired position."---
