Old Stories in New Words30. Jan2013
ThecraftLAB is a team of young Romanian designers and architects who make “design with a story”, turning old objects into new ones, giving them a new twist and a new story. Irina Neacsu, the initiator of thecraftLAB is passionate about old things, especially chairs. Her most recent armchair collection named Foliage has reached the Milano Fair in 2012.
Foliage Collection talks about coming back to nature, the forest life filled with mystery and fantastic animals. Surprising colors and carefully handmade details are added to a beautiful combination of textiles, leather and handmade embroideries to suggest the hidden world of the forest.
