STUCK chair17. Oct2012
STUCK chair is a chair created by taking apart all elements of a chair and put them back together as they were simply stuck together. Doing so, it creates a chair that doesn't need additional supports. All the [chair]elements have a leading and supporting role in the total structure of the chair. We like the kind of surprise element that is creating due to the fact that people expect the chair to have additional supports, but when they look underneath they won't find any.
Material used in creating the STUCK chair were oak for the structure and coated steel for the backrest.
STUCK chair is produced by Kuperus & Gardenier.
OATO Design Office is established by Stefan Tervoort and Pim Snijdoot. While both graduated as industrial designers, they hold different qualities when it comes to the design field. One, a more typical designer is focused on expression of design and aesthetics, an the other one is focused on everything around designing: management of the studio inside/outside the office walls.
