Vienna Design Week 2011 - 4/6 Lounge Chair09. Jan2012
In the summer of 2011 three architecture students at the Technical University Vienna attended a course held by Günter Pichler and Marc Wallerberger at the Department for Spatial and Sustainable Design to design cardboard lounge furniture. The works of Carlos Ferreira Mayerle, Maximilian Lehr-Splawinski and Alexander Masching have been displayed as part of the Vienna Design Week 2011 at the Zumtobel Lichtforum within Ecolucy - paper lighting objects exhibition.
"The 4/6 Lounge Chair consists of 4 panels which are folded to triangular prisms and tied together with two webbing load restraint assembly. The top layer is coverd by felt. No glue is needed!
No package: When transported or not in use the 4/6 Chair can be folded and tied to a package of W50cm L88cm H11cm. The 4/6 Lounge Chair is characterised by high stability and comfort, livelily design and modularity. By removing the top triangle it can be used as a coffe table." - Carlos Ferreira Mayerle
