With its straight lines, simple forms and set sizes, this storage system provides a calming background influence in the middle of bustling activity, masterfully and discretely accommodating whatever needs to be stored. It comes in various heights and offers a choice between flap and double doors, as well as drawers. Its appearance, accentuated with contrasting colours between the edges and the front, is determined by carefully worked recessed handles milled into the front and unusual corner details. The set-back floor glides of brushed aluminium, which allow the furniture to be easily moved, create the illusion that it is floating above the floor. Soft access to the interior is guaranteed by dumping mechanisms. Whether positioned against the wall or back to back in the center of the room EGO provides clear structures. Floating sauna - design by Lukas Jungmann.Distinction Award - Design Concepts category
Like and island floating on the water, this sauna, with one half of its panorama underneath the surface of the lake, offers a very special experience. The construction rises like a wave, with the majority of its volume under water, like an iceberg. One enters over golden yellow larch planks, which bring to mind a sandy beach. The roof is an inviting place to cool off and chill out. Down below is the sauna area, with two temperature zones, as well as the changing room and lavatory. A rowing boat is used to get to and from the shore. The recreational island is anchored in position and supplied with electricity via a thick underwater cable. With this handbike for people with limited or no leg function, the drive mechanism, brakes and steering are all hand-operated. The device is available as an adaptive bike that can be attached directly or detached from a wheelchair, so that the one has the flexibility of being able to also spend time in smaller spaces. As a recumbent bike, no wheelchair is necessary and it is suitable for sport uses. Whether as a versatile wheelchair with hand operation for indoors, a handbike with a higher sitting position for comfortable city driving, or a recumbent bike with a low position for fast cross-country trips, WISB is intended to give back the joy of biking to those with restricted motion and facilitate their mobility. This innovative mobile dialysis system is intended for patients who simply do not have time to spend several hours three times a week in sessions at the dialysis centre. With this system the patient is free to decide when and where the life-saving blood cleaning is to be carried out. The device consists of a flexible belt which is divided into membrane compartments and filled with fluid, and a hard shell front in which the technology, a catheter connection and an infrared cleansing unit is integrated. It is controlled by a smartphone application with comprehensive and intuitive possibilities. The necessary functions are also located as hard buttons on the device itself. After each haemodialysis, the dialysis fluid is cleansed in the technical in the technical section in readiness for the next cycle. (description of the product taken from the exhibition)
